Being Thickbroom’s longest serving employee, I have seen an immense progression in technology and the effect that has had on accountancy. Having never used a computer before joining in October 1983, I have seen the development from pen & paper, to the introduction of Sage, to the more recent web-based software like Xero, Quickbooks and FreeAgent. The one constant throughout the years has been our diverse and interesting client base which has meant that no one day is the same!
